Fair teams without the arguments
Picking teams by hand takes time and someone always feels left out. The random team generator shuffles your list and deals the names into teams, so the split is quick and fair. It works for PE lessons, group projects, office quizzes, game nights and tournaments.
Two ways to split a group
Choose Number of teams to make, say, 4 teams from a class, or People per team to make groups of 3. Team sizes never differ by more than one person. Press Make teams again for a fresh shuffle, then Copy the result to paste into a chat or document.

Frequently asked questions
Are the teams balanced?
Team sizes never differ by more than one person. Who goes where is completely random, using your browser’s cryptographic random number generator.
Can I make groups of 3 or 4?
Yes. Choose “People per team” and enter the group size. The generator works out how many teams you need.
Can I use names from my wheel?
Yes. Press “Use entries from the current wheel” to copy the names from the wheel you used last.
